Team W/L comments
@Utah vs New Mexico  W The Lobos are playing their 3rd road game in 4 weeks. They won't be able to run against the solid Ute front 7. Once they fall behind they don't have the passing game to catch up (38% pass completion ytd).  The Utes have a potent and balanced offense and they take care of the ball.  This one has every indication of being a blowout.    Utah 31 New Mexico 13   A+ Play
Bowling Green (+) vs Marshall  W posted 9/24: BG is playing extremely well and getting little respect. We like them to challenge for the outright win.    A Play

This wild game goes down as a Winner  for us as we were on it last Monday, when BG opened as a dog getting a full TD.  This game is one of those 15% that come in every week where the line comes into play. It is a perfect example of the need to shop for value--sometimes a point makes all the difference.

B rated plays:

Team W/L
Purdue @Minnesota  W The Boilermakers bring a well balanced attack to the soft Gopher dee.
@Iowa vs Penn St  L posted 9/24  Iowa is playing very well while things are falling apart for the Nittany Lions
WSU @Arizona  W posted 9/24  The Cougars have an explosive offense with an experienced O-line and should move the ball through the air.
@Missouri (+) vs Nebraska  L Missouri usually plays Nebraska within the number. This will be a big game for them and the first for the Huskers on grass this year.
@Buffalo (+) vs C Michigan  L The Buffs are a much better team at home, they should be in this one to the end and may pull the upset.
@NC State vs North Carolina  L The Tarheels caught FSU traveling with several linemen injured, suspended or shot. Yes, the Woflpack have played the weaker schedule but they've looked good while the 'Heels have been dominated going on the road.
MTS @Louisiana Lafayette  L We've cashed in many times on the Blue Raiders and the line is starting to reflect that. We still feel there's some value giving less than 3 td's here.
Clemson (+) @Georgia Tech  W Update 9/28/01  Dantzler had just had a bad game against Virginia, look for the Tigers to tighten things up and keep it close.
@Wyoming (+) vs CSU  L Update 9/28/01  The Cowboys are playing good ball. CSU has turned the ball over several times in every game they've played and they're not very disciplined, averaging 7+ penalties a game. Recent trends favor CSU but we're going with the squad who's playing better ball--Wyoming in an upset.
LSU (+) @Tennessee  W Update 9/28/01  Both teams are solid, they run the ball well, hold onto the ball, and suffer few penalties. This one will be a dogfight to the end so we're taking the team with the generous points.
Under  Clemson/GT  L Update 9/28/01  This one will only total in the low 40's
@Hawaii vs Rice  L Update 9/29/01

New Orleans (+) @NYG  L This one will be ugly to watch, unless you like low scoring ground and pound football. In this NFC playoff atmosphere game we're looking for a low scoring affair decided by a FG--in the Saints favor.

@SanDiego vs Cincinatti  W posted 9/24:  The Chargers are playing well and won't have a letdown here. The Bengals are off an emotional win against the defending champs and look to have a letdown after traveling from coast to coast.
